Gaelyn is an experienced disputes lawyer, specialising in litigation and contentious commercial and regulatory matters in the media, technology and creative industries.
Gaelyn has extensive experience handling high-value commercial litigation in the High Court, as well as arbitration and multi-jurisdictional investigations. Her practice spans a broad range of commercial disputes, alongside defamation and reputation management, data privacy and content-related matters. She has particular expertise acting for publishers, broadcasters and technology businesses in disputes that sit at the intersection of content, commerce and regulation.
“My disputes practice is broad, reflecting my background in high-value litigation and complex investigations. I think it is helpful to clients to bring that broader, strategic perspective to all contentious matters. I particularly enjoy the problem-solving aspects of disputes work, and working closely with clients to navigate complex challenges and achieve commercially-effective outcomes, while recognising that disputes must be managed in a manner that aligns with values and strategic objectives.
I am always mindful that legal disputes will inherently be a source of stress for both organisations and individuals. My role is to smooth that path wherever possible and look for the most constructive way through.
I feel very fortunate to work with our many creative and ingenious media clients in a fast-evolving sector.”
