The Digital Regulation Cooperation Forum (DRCF) has launched a call for views on the regulatory challenges associated with Agentic AI.
The DRCF – established in 2020 – brings together the Competition and Markets Authority, the Financial Conduct Authority, the Information Commissioner’s Office, and Ofcom in order to address and coordinate the regulation of digital services.
Its Call for Views comes at the same time as the launch of its ‘Thematic Innovation Hub’ which, according to the DRCF, will “act as a cross-cutting initiative, enabling businesses to benefit from joined-up regulatory insight on emerging technologies”.
The first topic on the agenda of the Hub is Agentic AI: AI systems that can make decisions autonomously, with little to no human intervention. The Call for Views invites industry, academia, and others to provide their thoughts on the practical and regulatory challenges associated with deploying and developing Agentic AI, asking in particular:
- What are the key regulatory challenges faced when adopting or developing Agentic AI?
 - Are there specific areas (such as data protection, liability, consumer protection, competition, copyright) where clarity is most needed?
 - How do current regulations support or hinder innovation in Agentic AI?
 - What kinds of informal advice, engagement, or support would be most helpful?
 - Are there sector-specific concerns (for example in legal services, finance, or telecoms) that should be considered?
 - What are the future risks or opportunities in the use of Agentic AI?

The Call for Views closes on 6 November 2025, and can be found here. More information about the DRCF’s Thematic Innovation Hub can be found here.
