Erin Meakin

Erin is a Chartered Trade Mark Attorney who helps leading media, entertainment and consumer brands safeguard their most valuable intellectual property. Combining more than 13 years of end-to-end experience with distinction-level academic credentials, Erin manages, clears and enforces high-stakes global portfolios for some of the world’s most recognised brands. Known for her collaborative approach and commercially focused advice, Erin helps clients navigate the practical and legal challenges of protecting brands across multiple jurisdictions.

Erin began her career in Trade Mark Formalities as a qualified CITMA Paralegal before qualifying as a Chartered Trade Mark Attorney, and so she brings a strong combination of legal expertise and operational understanding to her practice. She received Distinctions in both the Postgraduate Certificate in Trade Mark Law and Practice at Queen Mary, University of London and the Professional Certificate in Trade Mark Practice at Nottingham Trent University, where she is now a guest practitioner, sharing practical insights with the next generation of IP professionals. She is also an instructor on the INTA Trademark Administrators Certificate Program and a member of CITMA including CITMA’s Diversity, Inclusion and Wellbeing Committee.

I also advise on contentious matters, including pre-action correspondence, settlement negotiations, opposition, cancellation and invalidity proceedings before the UK and EU trade mark offices, and domain name complaints. Alongside this, I coordinate global filing programmes and disputes through networks of trusted local counsel.
